Michele De Lucchi

1951            born in Ferrara

studied in Padua and later at the university of Florence

1975            he graduated in architecture

1975 – 1977 he was an academic assistant in the architecture department at
                   the Florence University

1978            he moved to Milan

founder and member of Cavart and Alchimia

1981            together with Ettore Sottsass and Barbara Radice Michele De
                   Lucchi foundet the Memphis movement


1986            he designed the table lamp "Tolomeo" for Artemide

 

1988            he foundet his own studio "Studio De Lucchi"

1990            he foundet a small lighting company

 

1992            became the design consultant for Olivetti

1993            Michele De Lucchi designed the branches of the Deutsche Bank

1995            he created a shop system for Mandarina Duck
