Ania Rosinke (1985) and Maciej Chmara (1984)
met during their architecture and design studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland. The shared passion for design and art has led to their cooperation. After finishing their studies in Gdansk, being two terms at the Kunstuniversitaet in Linz (space&design strategies), spending some time at the Akademie der bildenden Künste and the TU Wien (architecture), and looking for some experience in several offices…
– they have launched their own studio chmara.rosinke based in Vienna.
Working in the fields of interior, product and architectural design, they strive to combine craftmanship with a conceptual and ecological approach. Most of of their projects are self-initiated and inspired by functional and socio-cultural aspects. Defining space, by the space itself or by placing objects, means influencing their world. Objects can communicate beauty, simplicity, and even ethics. They try to be aware of their role.
